The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
The government cannot take your stuff and use it against you unless they have a good reason to. They also have to know what it is they are taking and a general idea of where those things to be taken are. Only then will they be issued a warrant to pursue those things to use against you.
In this frightening video a man has his 4th amendment rights stripped from him in the interest of the many. Here we have a Sheriff and a representative of the state board of health who wants to search his property for goods that may affect people outside of the domain of the man who is filming them. So although this man knows his stuff the government reserves the right to suspend his rights in the interest of the public.

The Third Amendment
No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law
This amendment keeps all the kings men out of your business, you are allowed your own place sovereign from that of the state, where no military shall tread. Although not one of the popular amendments, Amendment number 3 pops up often in our new world of the patriot act
And that is all to it really, it states that if the government has soldiers then they must have a means to house and feed them that does not pose an inconvenience to the American in his or her home.
I got this comic from http://www.fleetmarinelife.com/?p=585 . In it he is stating that as much as he wants it to the 3rd Amendment does not apply to him in the barracks. This is true because as a soldier he has no rights under the Constitution of the United States of America. He has to obey those orders given to him and faces jail time or death if he does not comply.

the Second Amendment
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Because a Militia is necessary for the security of a free state, and a state is built of the people, the right to wield weapons will not be denied. I think we need a new translation of the second amendment before we can go any further in our current arguments regarding guns in our society.
Pen and Teller have it right, the "framers" would not be there framing anything if they had not already fought for their freedoms. And they, knowing governments and powerful entities, knew that maybe those freedoms have to be fought for again sometime in the future to protect oneself, ones home, and ones people. knowing these things, they would never put their guns away for good.
Current TV, Al Gore's Television channel, produced this wonderful piece on guns in America. I believe this highlights the reason why guns in the 2nd Amendment will always be a states issue. The reason is that there are at least 2 different gun cultures in the United States that will never see eye to eye, the rural v.s. the inner city gun cultures are never going to meet on the federal level. And if you were to apply new federal laws to law abiding people only the criminal element would benefit in either society.

Amendment 1
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
This amendment first guarantee's that we will have the freedom to practice what religion we want to practice, without the government saying otherwise. Also it is stated here that we can gather peacefully to protest against what we feel are the policies in our government that are unfair or just plain against our liking.
This fine outstanding gentleman is on the right track. Although the first amendment guarantees our right to say anything, it only reserves that right for U.S. citizens. Julian Assange is not a U.S. citizen and therefore has no rights under our constitution. If his website was in any way hosted in the United States it would have disappeared a very long time ago.
What Officer John Pike demonstrated to the demonstrators at the Occupy Wall Street gathering on the University of California Davis campus, was that the freedom of speech does not always hold up in its encounter with circumstance. Circumstance like curfew and trespassing, another good challenge to freedom of speech is where the greater common good lies, is it with people blocking a walking path or the paramedics that might theoretically have to turn around because they can't go past the blockade.
